Abstract
Pojam osiguranja postoji već od davnih vremena jer su se ljudi oduvijek bojali rizika i financijske propasti. Tržište osiguranja jedno je od najvećih tržišta na svijetu koje ima veliki utjecaj na svako pojedino gospodarstvo. Postoje brojne usluge osiguravajućih društava od kojih se posebno ističe životno osiguranje koje osigurava živote osoba. U ovom radu je napravljena analiza tržišta životnog osiguranja u Splitsko-dalmatinskoj županiji. Provedeno je istraživanje koje daje odgovore na brojna pitanja poput: poznavanja pojma životnog osiguranja, ugovorenih polica životnog osiguranja, broja članova obitelji koji imaju ugovoreno životno osiguranje, spremnost na ulaganje u životno osiguranje, novčani iznos koji bi ispitanici mjesečno uplaćivali itd. U Republici Hrvatskoj velika je razina financijske nepismenosti te Hrvatska agencija za nadzor financijskih usluga pokušava sve više obrazovati stanovništvo vezano uz usluge osiguranja. Osim toga, tržište životnog osiguranja Republike Hrvatske se nalazi na dnu Europske ljestvice što je dokazala i provedena anketa. Većina ispitanika nema ugovoreno životno osiguranje.
Abstract (english)
The concept of insurance has existed since ancient times because people have always been afraid of risk and financial ruin. The insurance market is one of the largest markets in the world that has a major impact on each individual economy. There are numerous services of insurance companies, of which life insurance that insures the lives of people stands out. In this paper, an analysis of the life insurance market in the Split-Dalmatia County is made. A survey was conducted that provides answers to many questions such as: knowledge of the concept of life insurance, contracted life insurance policies, the number of family members who have contracted life insurance, willingness to invest in life insurance, the amount of money that respondents would pay monthly, etc. There is a high level of financial illiteracy in the Republic of Croatia, and the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency is trying to educate the population more and more about insurance services. In addition, the life insurance market of the Republic of Croatia is at the bottom of the European scale, as proved by a survey. Most respondents do not have contracted life insurance.
