Abstract
S obzirom na brojne specifičnosti u poslovanju hotelskih poduzeća, njihova osjetljivost na krizne situacije veća je u odnosu na ostale djelatnosti. Međunarodni turizam i hotelijerstvo kao njegov receptivni segment, izloženi su velikom broju kriza i katastrofa. Zbog toga upravljanje kriznim situacijama, odnosno krizni menadžment, mora zauzimati značajnu ulogu u poslovanju turističkih subjekata. Za potrebe rada najprije je obrađen teorijski dio u kojem su navedene temeljne odrednice hotelskog poslovanja, objašnjeni pojmovi krize i kriznog menadžmenta u međunarodnom turizmu te naglašena važnost upravljanja kriznim situacijama u hotelskom poslovanju. U empirijskom dijelu rada provedeno je istraživanje na uzorku od 59 hotela sa područja Splitsko-dalmatinske županije u cilju prikupljanja podataka o pristupu hotelskih menadžera prema kriznim situacijama. Prikupljeni podaci potom su obrađeni u cilju testiranja postavljenih istraživačkih hipoteza. Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su zadovoljavajući pristup menadžera ovoj tematici što implicira na zaključak kako je svijest o postojanju kriznih situacija i važnosti kriznog menadžmenta prisutna među hotelijerima.

Regarding numerous peculiarities of the hotel companies, their sensitivity to crisis situations is higher, compared to other businesses. International tourism and hospitality as a receptive factor of tourism offer, are exposed to a number of crises and disasters. Therefore, crisis management concept must play a significant role in the operations of tourist companies. For the purposes of this work, firstly it was processed theoretical part which lists the fundamental determinants of hotel business, explains concepts of crisis and crisis management in international tourism and stressed the importance of crisis management in the hotel business. In the empirical part of the work survey was conducted on a sample of 59 hotels in Split-Dalmatia County. The aim was to collect data about their approach according to the crisis situations. The collected data were then analyzed in order to test the set of research hypotheses. The results showed satisfactory approach of these managers related to this topic, which leads to the conclusion that the awareness of crisis situations and the importance of crisis management are present among hoteliers.
