Abstract
Tema ovog rada je pametna destinacija i njena primjena u praksi velikih gradova. Problem istraživanja je preopterećnost suvremenih gradova, posebice onih opterećenih turističkom potražnjom. Cilj rada je objasniti pojam i primjenu koncepta pametnih destinacija, kao i njene prednosti u budućem turističkom razvoju. U radu je pokazan vremenski tijek razvoja pametnog grada, kao i njegova transformacija u pametnu destinaciju. Obrađeni su i mogući nedostaci kod primjene ovog koncepta. Beč i Barcelona su studije slučajeva koje su obrađene u ovom radu, a dat je i primjer aplikacije smart tehnologija u nekim hrvatskim urbanim destinacijama. Pomoću njih je vidljiva važnost pametne tehnologije kod upravljanja popularnom turističkom destinacijom, gdje je naglasak stavljen na održivost destinacije.
Abstract (english)
The theme of this paper is smart destination and its application in the practice of big cities. The problem with research is the congestion of modern cities, especially those burdened with tourist demand. The aim of the paper is to explain the concept and application of the concept of smart destinations, as well as its advantages in future tourism development. The paper shows the time course of development of a smart city, as well as its transformation into a smart destination. Possible disadvantages in applying this concept have also been addressed. Vienna, Barcelona are the case studies discussed in this paper and aplication of smart technologies in some Croatian urban tourist destinations is elabrated too. With them, the importance of smart technology in managing a popular tourist destination is evident, where the focus is on the sustainability of the destination.
