Abstract
Statistika predstavlja granu znanosti gdje je osnovni cilj ostvariti postavljene ciljeve istraživanja, i to prikupljanjem, odabirom, prezentiranjem podataka, te njihovim interpretiranjem. U završnom radu provedena statistička analiza kretanja tečaja Eura u razdoblju od 1995. godine do 2015. godine. Devizni tečaj predstavlja cijenu domaće valute koja je izražena u stranoj valuti, što vrijedi i obrnuto. Istraživanje obuhvaća četiri različite valute, kuna, franak, dolar i funta. Najveće oscilacije vrijednosti valuta javljaju se između Eura i dolara, a nakon toga dolazi britanska funta, dok kuna i franak nemaju velikih oscilacija u promatranom vremenu. Također, Analizirajući kretanje tečajeva trend modelima, može se zaključiti da su svi modeli značajni za odabrane valute.
Abstract (english)
Statistics represents a branch of science based on a main goal,which is to achieve the established research goals, by collecting, choosing, presenting and interpreting the information. This thesis is concerned with the statistical analysis of the currency rate of Euro in the period from 1995. to 2015. The currency rate is the price of the home currency represented through a foreign currency, and the other way around. The research represents four different types of currency, Croatian kuna, Swiss franc, American dollar and British pound. The main differences are seen between the Euro and the American dollar, followed by the British pound, while the Croatian kuna and the Swiss franc don’t show a significant variation during the time of the conducted analysis. Moreover, the analysis of the currency rate by trend models leads us to the conclusion that the chosen models are appropriate for the chosen currency.
