Abstract
Cilj ovog istraživanja je bio istražiti vezu između karakteristika industrije i performansi građevinskih poduzeća u Hrvatskoj. Poduzeća u građevinskoj industriji u Hrvatskoj: • intenzitet rivalstva među postojećim konkurentima percipiraju kao srednje jak; • prijetnju od potencijalnih pridošlica percipiraju srednje slabom; • pregovaračku moć kupaca srednje jakom; • opasnost od supstituta percipiraju kao srednje jaku; te • pregovaračku moć dobavljača percipiraju kao srednje jaku. Rezultati testiranja istraživačkih hipoteza su otkrili kako postoji povezanost između rivalstva između postojećih konkurenata, opasnosti od pridošlica, pregovaračke snage kupaca, pregovaračke snage dobavljača i performansi poduzeća. S druge strane, rezultati istraživanja su pokazali kako ne postoji povezanost između opasnosti od supstituta i performansi poduzeća. Glavna istraživačka hipoteza koja je pretpostavljala kako industrija unutar koje poduzeće djeluje značajno utječe na performanse poduzeća je djelomično prihvaćena.
Abstract (english)
This research aimed to investigate the link between the characteristics of the industry and the performance of construction companies in Croatia. Companies in the construction industry in Croatia: 1. the intensity of the rivalry between existing competitors perceive as medium-strong; 2. threat from potential newcomers see as medium-strong; 3. tha bargaining power of the buyers as medium-strong; 4. the risk of substitutes perceive as medium-stong; and 5. the bargaining power of suppliers see as medium-strong. The results of the research hypothesis test revealed that there is a connection between the rivalry between the existing competitors, the dangers of newcomers, the negotiating forces of the buyers and suppliers, and the performance of the companies. On the other hand, the results of the research showed that there was no connection between the dangers of the substitution and the performance of the enterprises. The central research hypothesis, which assumed that the industry within which enterprises operate significantly affects the performance enterprises, was partially accepted.
