Abstract

Parallel abstract (English)
The goal of this paper is to give a detailed review of wage and price trends in Croatia considering different variables like gender, activity, function, etc. More precisely, the goal is establishing the salary and price trends in Croatia by using relevant methods and statistics analysis. Statistical methods used in this work are grouping and tables and graphical representation of data. Furthermore, the prices are mentioned as a value expression for certain goods or services and inflation as a sustained increase in the general price level of goods and services. Also wages are mentioned as a monetary compensation paid monthly by an employer to an employee in exchange for the work done. The analysis implementation shows that wages and prices increased from 2000 to 2015, but growth of nominal wages has not been following the growth of real wages. In fact nominal wages have been increasing during the mentioned period while real wages started to decrease due to the global crisis and the prices rise. We can see that, during the observed period of time, man mostly had higher wages than women in all jobs and functions, and the highest wages were in financial and insurance industries for both men and women. As for prices, we can also see their continuous increase, but the rise in prices of goods has not been following the rise in prices of services.
