Abstract
Monetarna politika važan je instrument ekonomske politike. Monetarnom politikom se potiču pozitivni, a spriječavaju negativni učinci na gospodarstvo neke zemlje. U ovom radu prikazana je monetarna politika u Hrvatskoj koju provodi Hrvatska narodna banka kao nositelj monetarne vlasti u zemlji. Opisani su ciljevi politike, te instrumenti kojima se Hrvatska narodna banka služi u postizanju tih ciljeva. Analizirana je uspješnost tj. kretanje tih instrumenata u prethodnoj 2019. godini. Iz analize je vidljivo da je korištenje instrumenata bilo odgovarajuće obzirom na dobre rezultate koji su obilježili 2019. godinu, gdje je ostvaren rast BDP-a od 2,9% a i vidljiva su povoljna kretanja na tržištu rada. Primjetno je da 2020. godina neće imati nastavak dobrih rezultata iz 2019. godine upravo iz razloga trenutačne situacije s krizom COVID-19, u skladu s tim u radu je prikazana reakcija Hrvatske narodne banke na COVID-19 krizu, odnosno opisano je kojim se mjerama koristila kako bi stvorila povoljnije uvjete. I na kraju u radu je opisano uvođenje eura u Hrvatsku, kriteriji, koristi i troškovi njegova uvođenja i strategija.
Abstract (english)
Monetary policy is an important instrument of economic policy. Monetary policy encourages positive and prevents negative effects on a country's economy. This paper presents the monetary policy in Croatia implemented by the Croatian National Bank as the holder of monetary authority in the country. The policy objectives are described, as well as the instruments used by the Croatian National Bank in achieving these objectives. The success or movement of these instruments in the previous 2019 was analyzed. The analysis shows that the use of instruments was appropriate given the good results that marked 2019, where GDP growth of 2.9% was achieved and favorable trends in the labor market are visible. It is noticeable that 2020 will not have a continuation of the good results from 2019 precisely because of the current situation with the COVID-19 crisis, accordingly, the paper presents the reaction of the Croatian National Bank to the COVID-19 crisis, and it describes the measures used to create more favorable condit ions. Finally, the paper describes the introduction of the euro in Croatia, criteria, benefits and costs of its introduction and strategy.
