Abstract
Problem istraživanja u ovom radu odnosi se na tečajni paritet i tečajne politike zemalja koje pristupaju eurozoni, kao i iskustva zemalja članica nakon ulaska u eurozonu. Cilj rada je dati uvid u iskustva, tečajne režime i tečajne politike novih zemalja članica eurozone (Estonija, Latvija, Litva, Slovačka i Slovenija), odnosno u sam proces kroz koji svaka zemlja kandidat za uvođenje eura treba proći. Analizirane su mjere koje Hrvatska treba ispuniti prije samog uvođenja eura, kao i aktivnosti koje će provoditi prije i nakon uvođenja eura. Rezultat istraživanja se odnosi na uvođenje eura u Hrvatsku što je korak koji slijedi i za koji Hrvatska slijedi primjer i iskustva novih zemalja članica eurozone. Hrvatska je ispunila kriterije konvergencije cijena i dohotka puno bolje u odnosu na ostale zemlje članice Europske unije u trenutku kada su pristupale tečajnom mehanizmu ERM II. Ulaskom Hrvatske u tečajni mehanizam ERM II koji će biti moguć nakon što ispuni sve potrebne uvjete, slijedi i ulazak u eurozonu kao i sam postupak prelaska sa nacionalne valute na euro.
Abstract (english)
The research problem in this paper relates to the exchange rate parity and exchange rate policies of the countries joining the euro area, as well as the experiences of member states after joining the euro area. The aim of this paper is to provide insight into the experience, exchange rate regimes and exchange rate policies of the new euro area member states (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia and Slovenia), in the process that each candidate for the introduction of the euro should go through. The measures that Croatia needs to fulfill before the introduction of the euro are analyzed, as well as the activities that it will implement before and after the introduction of the euro. The result of the research refers to the introduction of the euro in Croatia, which is a step that follows and for which Croatia follows the example and experiences of the new eurozone member states. Croatia has met the criteria of price and income convergence much better than other countries that are members of the EU at the time of joining the exchange rate mechanism ERM II. With Croatia's entry into the ERM II exchange rate mechanism, which will be possible after fulfilling all the necessary conditions, the entry into the eurozone is coming up , as well as the procedure of transition from the national currency to the euro.
