Abstract
Cilj ovog diplomskog rada obuhvaćao je nekoliko segmenata. Kao prvo utvrditi da se ulaganjem u obuku i obrazovanje uspostavlja pozitivna veza s motivacijom zaposlenika. Zatim dokazati da se ulaganjem u obuku i obrazovanje omogućuje kontinuiran razvoj zaposlenika u svrhu postizanja što boljih rezultata poslovanja te utvrditi postiže li se ulaganjem u obuku i obrazovanje zaposlenika njihova motivacija za rad. Zadnji cilj odnosio se na to da se utvrdi razlika između razine ulaganja u obuku i obrazovanje zaposlenih u hotelima različitih kategorija na području Splita i okolice. Kroz terorijski dio rada analizirani su glavni pojmovi obrazovanje, obuka i motivacija. Prikazane su njihove glavne metode, modeli i načini primjene te sve ono što ih obilježava i karakterizira kako u poslovnom tako i u svakodnevnom životu. Empirijskim istraživanjem koje je obuhvatilo 10 hotela u Splitu i okolici s uzorkom od 110 ispitanika, dokazano je da su obuka i obrazovanje statistički značajno povezani s motivacijom zaposlenih te da postoji razlika između ulaganja u obuku i obrazovanje među hotelima različite kategorije. Također je utvrđeno da postoji razlika između ulaganja u obuku i obrazovanje različitih skupina zaposlenika, ali nije dokazana razlika u motivaciji različitih skupina zaposlenika. U skladu sa dobivenim rezultatima, može se zaključiti da su obuka i obrazovanje važan segment poslovanja hotela te da se ulaganjem u njih motivira zaposlenike. Zaposlenici većim ulaganjem u obuku dobivaju veću razinu samopouzdanja i stvaraju pozitivan stav prema radu. Mjera motiviranosti za rad kod zaposlenika raste kako raste i kategorizacija hotela, a isto tako je i sa ulaganje u obrazovanje i obuku. Dakle, ulaganjem u obuku i obrazovanje ujedno se ulaže i u zaposlenike, njihovo samopouzdanje i njihovu motivaciju za rad. Sve to vodi poboljšanju poduzeća.

The main goal of this diploma theises contains several segments. First of all to determine that with the investment in training and education is established a positive relationship with the motivation of employees. Then to prove it that by investing in training and education it is possible continuous development of employees in order to achieve better business results and to determine whether it is investing in the training and education of employees that have effect on growing their motivation to work. The last goal was the fact how to determine the difference between the level of investment in training and education of employees in hotels of different categories in the area of Split and the surrounding area. Through the theoretical part of this theises the main concepts of education, training and motivation have been analyzed. Here are displayed their main methods, models and ways of administration and all that marked and characterized them both in business and in everyday life. By empirical research that includes 10 hotels in Split and the surrounding area with the sample of 110 respondents, it is showed that the training and education statistically significantly associated with the motivation of employees and that there is a difference between investment in training and education among the hotels of different categories. It was also found that there is a difference between investment in training and education of different groups of employees, but it is not proved a difference in the motivation of different groups of employees. According to the results, it can be concluded that training and education are an important segment of the hotel, and that investing in them motivates employees. Employees of a major investment in training receive a greater level of self-confidence and create a positive attitude towards work. The measure of motivation for work with employees grow with the categorization of the hotel, and also is the same with investment in education and training. So, investing in training and education at the same time is the investment of employees, their confidence and their motivation to work. All that leads to improvment of companies.
