Abstract
Cilj istraživanja je bio analizirati i donijeti zaključak o tome koliko su stvarno stanje i načini ostvarivanja funkcija menadžmenta u JP Elektroprivreda Čapljina usklađeni s teorijskim postavkama. Pomoću anketnog upitnika i intervjua željeli su se utvrditi načini ostvarivanja pojedinih funkcija menadžmenta u poduzeću. Cilj je bio dobiti odgovore na pitanja koliko detaljno se planira poslovanje i provodi kontrola postavljenih planova, koliko se pažnje pridaje stvaranju efikasne organizacijske strukture, koliko se ulaže u napredovanje i razvoj zaposlenika te kako načini vođenja i motiviranja zaposlenika utječu na ostvarenje poslovnih performansi. U teorijskom dijelu diplomskog rada analizirani su temeljni pojmovi bitni za razumijevanje koncepta kojim se bavi ovaj rad. U okviru teorijskog dijela rada analizira se pet osnovnih funkcija menadžmenta, na temelju kojih je oblikovan anketni upitnik potreban za empirijsko istraživanje. Empirijsko istraživanje je provedeno u sva tri sektora JP Elektroprivreda Čapljina (proizvodnja, distribucija, opskrba). Anketni upitnik je ispunilo 28 zaposlenih na rukovodećim pozicijama (direktori, voditelji odjela i njihovi pomoćnici). Najprije se provela analiza odgovora za svako anketno pitanje pojedinačno te se zatim pristupilo testiranju postavljenih istraživačkih hipoteza. Istraživačke hipoteze su se testirale upotrebom statističkog paketa SPSS (Statistical analysis software package), gdje su se za testiranje koristila odabrana pitanja iz anketnog upitnika. Rezultati istraživanja su pokazali da se postavljene hipoteze za funkcije planiranja i kontroliranja mogu prihvatiti kao istinite, dok se postavljene hipoteze za funkcije organiziranja, kadroviranja i vođenja ne mogu prihvatiti kao istinite. Doprinos ovog rada rezultira boljim shvaćanjem uloge funkcija menadžmenta u poduzeću te važnosti njihove međusobne povezanosti u ostvarivanju poslovnih ciljeva i uspjeha. Na temelju anketnog upitnika i intervjua dobila se stvarna slika o posvećenosti menadžera ostvarivanju pojedinih funkcija, njihovoj usmjerenosti na motivaciju zaposlenih prilikom ostvarivanja pojedinih funkcija te o stanju menadžmenta poduzeća u cijelosti. Menadžmentu poduzeća ostaje poboljšati provođenje pojedinih elemenata funkcija menadžmenta, a sve s ciljem efikasnijeg funkcioniranja poduzeća i povećanjem uspješnosti.

The aim of the research was to analyze and reach a conclusion on how the actual state and the means of achieving the functions of management in Elektroprivreda Čapljina consistent with theoretical assumptions. Using questionnaires and interview we wanted to determine ways of exercising certain functions of management of the company. The goal was to get answers to questions about how thoroughly planned and carried out operations control set of plans, how much attention is given to creating an efficient organizational structure, how much is invested in the advancement and development of the employees and how the ways of keeping and motivating employees is relevant to business performance. The theoretical part od thesis analyzes basic concepts essential for understanding the concept covered by the present work. Within the theoretical part analyzes the five basic functions of management, based on which is designed questionnaire required for empirical research. Empirical research was conducted in all three sectors of Elektroprivreda Čapljina (production, distribution, supply). The questionnaire was completed by 28 employees in management positions (directors, heads of departments and their assistants). First we conducted analysis of the responses to each survey question individually and then attended for testing the set research hypotheses. The research hypotheses were tested using the statistical package SPSS (Statistical analysis software package), where they are used to test the selected questions from the questionnaire. The results showed that the proposed hypotheses for planning and control can be accepted as true, while for the hypotheses of the functions of organization, personnel management and leadership can not be accepted as true. The contribution of this work results in a better understanding of the role of the functions of management of the company and the importance of their interdependence in achieving business goals and success. Based on questionnaires and interviews we get a realistic picture of the commitment of managers exercising particular functions, their focus on the motivation of employees in the exercise of certain functions and the state of the management company in its entirety. Management of the Company remains to improve the implementation of certain elements of the functions of management, with the aim of efficient functioning of enterprises and increasing success.
