Abstract
Predratno ozračje u Hrvatskoj iznjedrilo je mnoge oblike borbe u javnim i kulturnim sferama života koja nije zaobišla ni krajnji jug Hrvatske, poznat po njegovanju povijesnih i tradicionalnih vrijednosti. Raskid s konvencionalnim prikazom stvarnosti početak je novog doba razvitka dubrovačke suvremene scene, utjelovljene u djelu inicijative Art radionice Lazareti. Ovaj rad prikazuje kronološku dinamiku radionice kroz godine, od samog osnivanja i elaboriranja njene suvremene funkcije, kroz razoreni Dubrovnik i način na koji umjetnici odgovaraju svojim performansima sve do smirivanja početnog entuzijazma u kasnim devedesetima. Umjetnički izričaj je vidljiv u svim aspektima rada afirmiranih i mladih umjetnika, kao i u otvorenosti Art radionice Lazareti za suradnju. Organizirali su se projekti, izvodili koncerti i performansi i postavljale izložbe. Dvadeset osam godina poslije pokretači i sudionici Art radionice Lazareti svjedoče o njenim ciljevima u tadašnjim prilikama te o njenim aktivnostima u današnje vrijeme.
Abstract (english)
There was significant amount of cultural resistance in whole country during the time of pre-war in Croatia, including southern parts in Croatia, known for valuation of traditionalism and conservativism. Separation with conventional form is beginning of new era – development of Dubrovnik's contemporary scene is mainly caused by initiation called Art workshop Lazareti. We are going to represent chronological dynamics of workshop through the years, from the founder's idea and beginning to later elaboration in the end of the century, from almost destroyed Dubrovnik where artists were never afraid to show rebellion and consistent battle through their performances, until peace and vanished enthusiasm in the late 1990s. A group of young artists, well known authors and amateurs, were gathered under one name, and they aspired to different artistic expression, cooperation and openness. They organized projects, concerts, performances and exbihitions. 28 years later founders and participants of Art workshop Lazareti testify about their accomplishments and goals in that time, and about workshop's activities today.
