Abstract
Različiti dokumenti i provedena istraživanja naglašavaju potrebu za kontinuiranim poboljšanjem sposobonosti nastavnoga osoblja te poticanje trajnoga profesionalnoga razvoja učitelja, nastavnika i drugih zaposlenika u obrazovanju. Profesionalni razvoj smatra se jednim od četiri najvažnija razvojna prioriteta odgojno-obrazovnoga sektora. U okviru ovoga rada provedeno je istraživanje s ciljem ispitivanja stavova učitelja i nastavnika prema profesionalnomu razvoju. Istraživanje je provedeno na 79 učitelja i nastavnika. Istraživanjem se htjelo ispitati povezanost sociodemografskih obilježja ispitanika i njihovih stavova prema profesionalnomu razvoju te spolne razlike u stavovima prema profesionalnomu razvoju, kao i razlike u stavovima prema profesionalnomu razvoju između učitelja razredne i predmetne nastave. Također, željelo se ispitati koja su područja važna za profesionalni razvoj te koje su glavne prepreke profesionalnomu razvoju. Rezultati su pokazali da uglavnom ne postoji značajna povezanost između pojedinih elemenata sociodemografskih obilježja sudionika i njihovih stavova prema profesionalnomu razvoju i da ne postoji statistički značajna razlika u stavovima prema profesionalnomu razvoju s obzirom na spol. Također, ne postoji statistički značajna razlika u stavovima prema profesionalnomu razvoju između učitelja razredne i predmetne nastave. Kao područja važna za profesionalni razvoj ispitanici su u najvećoj mjeri istaknuli da je svako područje važno, a izdvojili su metodiku rada, informacijske tehnologije, psihologiju i pedagogiju te rad s djecom posebnih potreba. Kao glavne prepreke izdvojili su financije, nedostatak vremena, nekvalitetna stručna usavršavanja, neinformiranost i nemotiviranost, te previše dokumentacije
Abstract (english)
Various documents and research emphasize the need for continuous improvement of the teacher's competencies and the encouragement of permanent professional development of teachers and other employees in education. Professional development is considered as one of the four key development priorities of the education system. The aim of this research was to examine teacher's attitudes towards professional development. The sample was formed of 79 teachers. The aim of the research was to examine the correlation between sociodemographic characteristics of participants and their attitudes towards professional development and gender differences in attitudes towards professional development, as well as differences in attitudes toward professional development between classroom teachers and subject teachers. Furthermore, the aim of the study was to examine which areas are important for professional development and which are major impediments to professional development. The results have shown that there is no significant correlation between sociodemographic characteristics of participants and their attitudes towards professional development. Also, there is no statistically significant difference in attitudes towards professional development between classroom teachers and subject teachers. As areas of importance for professional development, the participants have emphasized to the greatest extent that each area is important, and they singled out the methodology of work, information technology, psychology and pedagogy, and work with children of special needs. The main impediments were financial, lack of time, a substandard professional training, lack of information, lack of motivation, and too much documentation.
