Abstract
Cilj ovog rada je istražiti obrazovne aspiracije mladih na otoku Visu. U radu se prikazuju i interpretiraju rezultati istraživanja provedenom na uzorku od 71 učenika srednje škole „Antun Matijašević Karamaneo“ u Visu. Rezultati istraživanja su pokazali kako većina mladih želi nastaviti svoje obrazovanje, kako socioekonomski status nema utjecaj na želju mladih za daljnjim školovanjem, te da učenici strukovnih usmjerenja imaju veću želju za nastavkom školovanja od onih u gimnaziji, ali se to može pripisati i tome što je veći broj učenika u uzorku iz strukovnih usmjerenjima. Također, rezultati su pokazali kako većina mladih nije zadovoljna uvjetima i kvalitetom života na otoku, ali se unatoč tome žele vratiti na otok nakon obrazovanja izvan otoka.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this paper is to explore the educational aspirations of young people on the island of Vis. This paper presents and interprets the results of research conducted on a sample of 71 high school students "Antun Matijašević Karamaneo" in Vis. The results of the research have shown that most young people want to continue their education because the sociocultural status of students does not affect the desire of young people for further education, and that vocational education students have a greater desire for further education than those in gymnasiums but this can be attributed to the greater number of students in vocational guidance rather than in grammar school. Also, the results show that most young people are not satisfied with the conditions and quality of life on the island but still want to return to the island after education.
