Abstract
Tjelesno kažnjavanje je unatoč zakonskim restrikcijama još uvijek vrlo popularna odgojna metoda među roditeljima. Iako novija istraživanja dokazuju da postoje određene socio-demografske odrednice pomoću kojih se može obratiti pozornost na stuacije u kojima je rizik od tjelesnog zlostavljanja visok, javnost još uvijek smatra da je način na koji obitelj odgaja svoju djecu njihova privatna stvar, pa makar ono uključivalo i zlostavljanje. Jedna od tih socio-demografskih odrednica jest i stupanj obrazovanja, te je cilj ovog rada uočiti postoje li razlike između stavova javnosti i predškolskih odgajatelja o tjelesnom nasilju.
Abstract (english)
Despite of legal restrictions, physical punishment is still very popular upbringing method amongst parents. Even though new researches prove that there are certain sociodemographic determinants which can alarm us to be extra cautious to situations with higher risk of physical abuse, the public still believes that the way every family upbrings their children is their private bussines, even at the risk of physical abuse being included. One of those sociodemographic determinants is the education degree, and the objective of this paper is to conclude if there are differences beetwen attitudes of public and preschool teachers regarding physical abuse.
