Abstract
Religija je neodvojivi aspekt kulture i društva, a između ostalog je i glavni uzrok društvene podjele još od pamtivijeka. Njen utjecaj varira od kulture do kulture, no još uvijek je prožeta u školskim sustavima diljem Europe. Hrvatska i Turska dobar su primjer kontrastnih zemalja koje počivaju na različitim temeljima i sukladno tome se odnose prema vjerskom odgoju. U ovom radu cilj je bio prikazati kakav je položaj vjerskog odgoja u navedenim sustavima i kolika mu se važnost pridaje, a sve to uzimajući u obzir kontekst društva i kulture kao i povijesnih okolnosti. Kroz pitanja sekularizacije, prepoznavanja heterogenosti društava te položaja vjerskih predmeta u školama pokušalo se prikazati kakve su to pozitivne ili negativne posljedice vjerskog odgoja koje učenici direktno osjećaju bivajući dio sustava odgoja i obrazovanja Hrvatske ili Turske. Naposljetku, usporedba dviju država može biti korisna za Hrvatsku da prepozna svoje eventualne nedostatke i probleme s kojima se suočava.
Abstract (english)
Religion is an inseparable aspect of culture and society, besides, it is one of the main causes of the division of the society from the immemorial. Its impact varies from culture to culture but it is still present in educational systems across Europe. Croatia and Turkey are a good example of contrasted countries which lie on different foundations according to which they form their relationships with religious education. The aim of this thesis was to present the status of religious education and the importance that it was given in aforementioned systems considering social and cultural background as well as historical circumstances. Through the questions of secularism, recognizing the social heterogeneity and the status of religious school subjects, the thesis also aimed to present the positive and negative consequences of religious education that affect students as being a part of Croatian or Turkish educational system. In the end, the comparison of these two countries could be useful for Croatia in order to recognize its possible deficiencies.
