Abstract
Poremećaj iz spektra autizma složeni je neurorazvojni poremećaj koji zahvaća sve aspekte dječje ličnosti (komunikacija, motorika, ponašanje i učenje). Pojam autizma u psihijatriju uvodi E. Bleuer 1911.godine, a autistični poremećaj kao takav prvi opisuje američki psihijatar L. Kanner 1943. godine nazivajući ga infantilnim autizmom prvenstveno zbog simptoma i dobi u kojoj se pojavljuje. Područje vidljivih nedostataka kod djeteta s autizmom je jezično funkcioniranje. U osnovi svih teškoća osoba s poremećajima autističnog spektra stoje unutarnje kočnice koje otežavaju uspostavljanje socijalne interakcije, verbalne ili neverbalne komunikacije, mogućnosti imaginacije te senzorne integracije. Naime, djeca s autizmom vide, čuju i osjećaju, ali te utiske teško sklapaju u smislenu cjelinu, pa se stoga povlače u jedan svoj, vlastiti svijet u kojem nalaze sigurnost. Stoga djeca s autizmom imaju ozbiljne poremećaje govora i jezika. Gotovo polovica autistične djece ne razvije govor i ne upotrebljava geste, a koristi se samo primitivnim komunikativnim oblicima. Osobe s autizmom imaju poteškoća u izražavanju svojih osjećaja, želja, potreba, sposobnosti i problema s kojima se svakodnevno bore, a što se odražava na njihovo ponašanje koje bih opisala kao vrlo neobično. Ipak, unatoč njihovim ograničenjima, sve je više priča iz svijeta autista koji završavaju škole, fakultete i osposobljavaju se za budući život ostvarujući svoje ciljeve, no kako bi to postalo pravilo i kod nas potrebna je potpora društva gdje je, zapravo, važno naglasiti ozbiljnost teme i sve veći broj autista.
Abstract (english)
Autism spectrum disorder is a complex neurodevelopment disorder that affects all aspects of the child's personality (communication, motor skills, behaviour and learning). The concept of autism in psychiatry is introduced by E. Bleuer in 1911, and the autistic disorder as such is described by the American psychiatrist L. Kanner in 1943, referring to it as infantile autism primarily due to the symptoms and the age it occurs. All the people with autistic disorder spectrum have internal brakes that make it difficult to establish social interaction, verbal or non-verbal communication, imagination and sensory integration. Autistic children see, hear and feel, but these impressions are difficult to form a meaningful whole, so they are pulled into their own world where they feel safe. So, all autistic children have serious speech and language disorders. Almost half of them have not developed speech and are not using gestures, using only primitive communicative forms. Therefore, people with autism have difficulty expressing their feelings, desires, needs, abilities and problems they are faced with on a daily basis. That reflects on their behaviour which could be described as very unusual. Yet, despite their limitations, there are more and more stories about people with autistic disorder who finish schools, faculties and train for the future, achieving their goals. In order that becomes a rule, we need the support of the society where it is important to emphasize the seriousness of the topic and an increasing number of autists.
