Abstract
Učenički domovi trebaju korisnicima osigurati optimalne mogućnosti da uspješno završe srednjoškolsko obrazovanje i postanu samostalne, odgovorne i zrele mlade osobe. Samo educirani i kompetentni pedagozi i odgojitelji mogu kvalitetno pružiti podršku adolescentu u novim životnim uvjetima i ostvariti planirane ishode. Cilj ovog diplomskog rada bio je ispitati razinu osposobljenosti odgojitelja i pedagoga za rad u učeničkim domovima. Provedbom kvalitativnog istraživanja u fokus je stavljen opis događaja i iskustava te međusobna povezanost određenih tema iz različitih perspektiva. Sudionici su bili odgojitelji (n=7) i stručni suradnici pedagozi (n=7), a njihovi odgovori su prikupljeni metodom polustrukturiranog intervjua. Analizom je utvrđeno da su sudionici tijekom formalnog obrazovanja djelomično pripremljeni za posao koji rade. Nova znanja i vještine stječu putem dodatnih stručnih usavršavanja što im uvelike olakšava rad sa učenicima, roditeljima i ostalim zaposlenicima.
Abstract (english)
Dormitories should provide their users optimal opportunities to successfully complete high school education and become independent, responsible and mature young people. Only educatede and competent pedagogues and educators can provide quality support to adolescents in new living conditions and achieve planned outcomes. The aim of this thesis was to examine the skill level of educators and pedagogues to work in dormitories. The implementation of qualitative research focused on the description of events and experiences and the interconnectedness of certain topics from different perspectives. Participants were educators (n = 7) and professional associate pedagogues (n = 7), and their responses were collected by the method of semi-structured interview. The analysis determined that participants were partially prepared during their formal education for the work in dormitories. They acquire new knowledge and skills through additional professional development, which greatly facilitates their work with students, parents and other employees.
