Abstract
Historiografija svjedoči o djelima različitih autora koji su pokušali rasvijetliti pozadinu francuske uprave u Dalmaciji. Poznata imena su: Ivan Katalinić, Šime Ljubić, Ivo vojnović te mnogi drugi. Događaj koji je pokrenuo interes za tim razdobljem bio je poziv francuskog predsjednika Francoisa Mitteranda na proslavu dvjestote godišnjice Revolucije u duhu proklamacije ljudskih prava. Rat je između Francuza i Austrije završio bitkom kod Austerlitza (Slavkova) u Čehoslovačkoj 2. prosinca 1805. U ovoj su bitki potučeni Austrijanci i prisiljeni na mir koji je sklopljen u Bratislavi 26. prosinca 1805. Tim je mirom Austrija izgubila Veneciju, Istru, Dalmaciju i Boku. Dobivanjem Dalmacije Napoleon je želio od nje dobiti odskočnu dasku za rat protiv Rusije i doći u susjedstvo Turske. Htio se miješati u njihove poslove i ulaziti u događaje koji su bili na pomolu: podjela Turske. Napoleon je odredio da se Dalmacija podredi Talijanskom kraljevstvu kojemu je kraljem bio Napoleon, a potkraljem njegov pastorak Eugen. Glavnim je zapovjednikom osvajačke vojske Napoleon odredio generala Molitora, a dodijelio mu je kao „carskog komisara“ generala Lauristona i oni su trebali preuzeti vlast u Dalmaciji od austrijskog guvernera Bradyja i markiza Ghislierija. Dolaskom na vlast generalni providur postaje Vincenzo Dandolo koji izvršava naredbe generala Augustea Marmonta. Bave se reorganizacijom uprave i podjelom Dalmacije, uspostavljanjem svih razina sudova, kontroliranjem pobuna, izgradnjom cesta, zatvaranjem samostana, ... Često se susreću sa nezadovoljstvom stanovnika, kao što je bio ustanak pod vodstvom Andrije Dorotića i Poljički ustanak. Djeluju i u školstvu otvaranjem pučkih i strukovnih škola u kojima namještaju talijanske učitelje. 14. listopada 1809. Napoleon utemeljuje novu državnu tvorevinu – Ilirske provincije („Les provinces illyriennes“). Vlast će pripasti prokušanom maršalu Marmontu.50 No, 1813. godine događa se poraz Napoleona i mijenja se sudbina Dalmacije. Bečki kongres, pored ostalih zemalja, dodijelio je Austriji Dalmaciju s Dubrovnikom i Bokom Kotorskom. Time prestaje francuska vlast i nastupa novo vrijeme naše duge povijesti pod drugom austrijskom vlašću.
Abstract (english)
Historography testifies difrent works of autors which tried to enlighten the backround of French govermant in Dalmatia. Notable names are: Katalinić, Šime Ljubić, Ivo vojnović and many more. Incidents that started the interest for that time was the invitation of Francoisa Mitteranda the Franch president to celebrate twohundred anniversary of Revolution in the spirit of proclamating human rights.War betwene French and Austria ended with the battle at Austerlitza (Slavkova) in Chechoslovakia 2. December 1805. In this battle defeated Austrians were forced to peace treaty which was arranged in Bratislavia 26. December 1805. With that peace treaty Austria lost Venice, Istra, Dalmatia and Boka. Taking Dalmatia Napoleon wanted to gain advantage in the war against Russia and come near Turkey. He wanted to patricipate in their affairs and enter the events that were exspected: the separation of Turkey. Napoleon decided subject Dalmatia to Italian empire whose king was Napoleon himselfe and viceroy was his stepson Eugen. To command vicotrious army Naploeon orderd general Molitora, general Lauristona was orderd to be his empire commesary and they were to take the rule of Dalmatia from Austtria guverner Brady and marquise Ghisliera. When warden Vincenzo Dandolo came to rule he was executing orders from general Augustea Mormont. They are reorganizing govermant and deviding Dalmatia, founding all court levels, controling mutany, building roads, closing monnasteries,... They are offten faced with people unsatisfaction, e.g. rebbelion who led Andrija Dorotić and Poljićki rebbelion. They are envolved in education, opening schools with Italian teachers. 14. October 1809. Napoleon founds new govermant province - Ilirske provincije („Les provinces illyriennes“). The govermant takes allready proven marshall Marmontu.51 In 1813 Napoleon is deffeated and the destiny of Dalmatia changes. Vienna court, among other countires, delivers Dalmatia with Dubrovnik and Boka Kotorska to Austria. That ends French govermant and starts our new and long history under Austrian govermant.
