Abstract
Polazište ovog rada bilo je predstaviti slikarska ostvarenja 15. i 16. stoljeća na otoku Korčuli s namjerom da se objasne okolnosti u kojima su ta djela stigla na otok. Naglasak je stavljen na najvažnija pojedinačna ostvarenja koja se nalaze u crkvama i na dvije vrlo vrijedne zbirke u gradu Korčuli. Određena umjetnička djela ujedno govore i o onodobnim društvenim i političkim zbivanjima, ali i o njihovoj važnosti za korčulansku sredinu .
Abstract (english)
This thesis presents paintings of the 15th and 16th centuries from the island of Korcula and discusses the circumstances in which these works arrived on the island. Emphasis is placed on the accomplishments found in churches of some of the most important painters of the time, and two very valuable collections in the town of Korcula. Certain pieces portray social and political events, and also illustrate their importance for the Korčula region.
