Abstract
Glavni cilj ovoga rada bio je analizirati dvije najzastupljenije pedagoške metode, koncepciju Marie Montessori i Reggio Emilia. Pomoću dviju pedagoških metoda u odnos je stavljen razvoj djece predškolske dobi, njihov socijalni razvoj te razvoj građanske svijesti. Uspoređujući dvije, naizgled različite pedagoške metode, pisanje ovoga rada pokazalo je da su pedagogija Marie Montessori i Reggio Emilia dvije osnovice za razvoj današnje pedagogije te da su u mnogočemu slične. Građanska svijest, kao još nedefiniran pojam u cijelosti i centralni pojam ovoga rada, predstavlja odgoj koji omogućava mladima da postanu odgovorni i aktivni članovi društva, sposobni djelovati za opće dobro te donositi informirane i promišljene odluke, a podrazumijeva usvajanje vrijednosti, stavova i znanja, ali i vještina i sposobnosti kako ta znanja iskoristiti u svakodnevnim situacijama. Predškolska dob djeteta ključan je trenutak u razvoju djece, posebice u aspektu socijalizacije i emocionalne kompetencije te razvoja građanske svijesti.
Abstract (english)
The main focus of this paper is analysis of the two most represented and the most used pedagogical methods, the concept of Maria Montessori and Reggio Emilia. Using the two pedagogical methods we brought into comparison the relationship between development of preschool aged children, their social development and the development of civic awareness. By comparing the two, seemingly different pedagogical methods, writing this paper has shown that Maria Montessori's pedagogy and Reggio Emilia pedagogy are two basic pedagogy methods for the development of today's pedagogy and are in many aspects similar. Civic awareness, as an undefined concept in its entirety and the central term of this paper, is a education that enables young people to become responsible and active members of society, able of acting for the common good, and making informed and thoughtful decisions and implying acceptance of values, attitudes and knowledge, but also skills and abilities to use this knowledge in everyday situations. The pre-school age is a key moment in a child's development, especially in the aspect of socialization and emotional competence and the development of civic awareness.
