Abstract
U suvremenom odgoju i obrazovanju važno je svakom učeniku omogućiti pristup visokokvalitetnom obrazovanju, osjećaj sigurnosti i pripadanja kako bi iskoristili svoje potencijale. Glavnu ulogu u tome imaju odgojno-obrazovne ustanove, nastavnici, roditelji, vršnjaci te sami učenici. Odgovornost roditelja i nastavnika je da nauče svoju djeci vrijednostima nužnima za suživot u društvu prepunom različitosti i samim time prihvaćanju tih različitosti. Kako bi to bilo moguće potrebno je obrazovati i roditelje i nastavnike u tom području. Odgojna komponenta je jednako važna kao i obrazovna, ako ne i važnija. Uz intelektualni razvoj, učitelji i roditelji djeci trebaju osigurati uvjete za emocionalni razvoj. Razvijanje osjećaja empatije, razumijevanja i odgovornosti usko je vezano uz razvoj socijalnih kompetencija. Ovim se istraživanjem željelo ispitati razlike u stavovima učenika srednjih škola prema učenicima s teškoćama te njihove socijalne kompetencije. Istraživanje je pokazalo da postoje razlike u stavovima kao i u socijalnim kompetencijama ovisno o mjestu stanovanja, vrsti škole, spolu i dobi.
Abstract (english)
In contemporary education it is important to give each learner an access to high-quality education, the feeling of security and belonging to use their potentials. The lead roles in that have the educational institutions, teachers, parents, peers and learners themselves. The responsibility of the parents and teachers is to learn their children the values that are necessary for coexistence in the society which is filled with differences and with that the acceptance of those differences. To make that possible it is needed to educate teachers as well as parents in that area. The aspect of upbringing is as important as the aspect of education, if not even more important. Alongside of the intellectual development, teachers and parents need to provide conditions for emotional development. The development of the feeling of empathy, understanding and responsibility is closely connected with the development of social competences. The purpose of this research was to examine the differences in high-school learners' attitudes towards learners with disabilities, and their social competences. The research has shown that there are differences in attitudes as well as in social competences depending on the place of residence, type of school, gender and age
