Abstract
U ovom završnom radu pokušala se prikazati teorijska podloga narodnih običaja i narodnih vjerovanja te važnost usmene književnosti za očuvanje naroda jer narod ne postoji bez tradicije i običaja. Tako se u radu prvotno objašnjava sama usmena književnost, a zatim se prelazi na objašnjavanje blagdana, svetaca, običaja, svakodnevnog života i različitih predaja koji se slave i koji su zastupljeni u našem narodu. Također se prikazuje i jedan dio pravoslavnih narodnih vjerovanja i običaja čime se pokazuje da je i njihova vjera slična kršćanskoj, odnosno da se slavljenje blagdana ne razlikuje puno. Osim „teorijskog“ objašnjavanja običaja, blagdana i narodnih vjerovanja u radu se prikazuju i izjave kazivača različitog godišta koji opisuju običaje i narodna vjerovanja, ali i svakodnevne životne situacije karakteristične za njihovo djetinjstvo te svjedočenja o demonološkim predajama. Upravo ti opisi su bitni da se uvidi kako su običaji različiti od mjesta do mjesta te kako je usmena književnost važna za prenošenje tradicije iz generacije u generaciju i za očuvanje narodnog identiteta.
Abstract (english)
In this final paper, the theoretical background of folk customs, folk beliefs and the importance of oral literature for the preservation of peoples were attempted to be displayed because the people don't exist without traditions or customs. So, the finale paper firstly explains the oral literature itself, and then goes on to explain the holidays, saints, customs, everyday life, and various traditions that are celebrated and represented in life of our pupils. There is also a section of Orthodox religious beliefs and customs that shows that their faith is like Christianity and that celebration of holidays isn't so different. In addition to the "theoretical" explanation of customs, feasts and religious beliefs, the paper also presents statements of people of different ages in which they are describing customs and folk beliefs, as well as everyday life situations characteristic of their childhood and testimonies of demonological teachings. These descriptions are essential to see how customs are different from place to place and how oral literature is important for transferring tradition from generation to generation and for preserving national identity.
