Abstract
U radu je na sustavan način opisana uloga škole u poticanju socijalnog i emocionalnog razvoja kod djece, kao i neki od programa koji se provode u školama za istu svrhu. Sam emocionalni razvoj podrazumijeva sposobnost razumijevanja, komuniciranja i kontroliranja vlastitih emocija, dok socijalni razvoj obuhvaća razumijevanje socijalnih odnosa te psihosocijalno funkcioniranje. Zajedničke komponente koje bi se trebale poticati kod djeteta su odgovorno donošenje odluka, samosvijest, samokontrola, socijalna svijest i socijalne vještine. Škola kao dio mikrosustava djeteta ima važnu ulogu u njegovom razvoju te se u radu opisuje važnost i načini poticanja socijalnog i emocionalnog razvoja djece. Također, u radu su opisani neki programi s istim ciljem koji se provode u svijetu i Republici Hrvatskoj, a od kojih su najpoznatiji SEL i PATHS.
Abstract (english)
The thesis systematically describes the role of the school in stimulating social and emotional development in children, as well as some of the programmes implemented in schools for the same purpose. Emotional development itself implies the ability to understand, communicate and controlone's emotions, while social development involves understanding social relationships and psychosocial functioning. Common components that should be encouraged in a child include responsible decision-making, self-awareness, self-control, social awareness and social skills. The school, as part of the child's microsystem, plays an important role in his or her development and this thesis describes the very importance and ways of stimulating social and emotional development within the educational system. Also, it presents relevant programmes that are being implemented in the schools around the world and in the Republic of Croatia, the most famous of which are SEL and PATHS.
