Abstract
Carroll je objavio roman Alisine pustolovine u zemlji čudesa 1865., a nakon toga Kroz Ogledalo ( Iza Ogledala ) 1872. Alisine priče su nastale kao djelo koje je namijenjeno da zabavi tri djevojčice na izletu brodom 1862. Obje knjige smatrane su dječjim romanima koji su po prirodi satirični i pokazuju Carrollov šarm. (um, inteligenciju, pamet, šaljivost) Od svih Carrollovih djela, Alisine pustolovine u zemlji čudesa imaju jedinstven položaj u kategoriji nonsesne književnosti (književnost besmislica). Alisa je sasvim drugačija od svih djela dječje književnosti iz viktorijanskog doba. Ipak, koliko god se ova priča čini čudna u odnosu na druge viktorijanske dječije priče, ovaj kratak roman još je neobičniji jer ga je napisao ultrakonzervativan čovjek, ukratko, viktorijanski gospodin. Alisa je prozvana dječjom gozbom i trijumfom nonsesne književnosti. Oko 180,000 primjeraka romana je prodano u raznim izdanjima, u Engleskoj, tijekom Carrollova života. Od tada je knjiga prevedena na svaki važniji jezik i sada je postala bestseler, u rangu sa Shakespearovim djelima i Biblijom u popularnoj potražnji. Od svih dječijih priča iz viktorijanskog doba u kojoj podjednako uživaju djeca i odrasli, najpopularnije su Alisine pustolovine u zemlji čudesa i Kroz ogledalo Lewis Carrolla. Zemlja čuda je san, ali Ogledalo je savjest. To je san koji nam pokazuje nešto stvarno. Naša mašta je dar, nešto što nas može poučiti i doprinijeti našem veselju. Zemlja Čuda nam pomaže da uživamo u čudesnom, da vidimo naizgled nemoguću ljepotu u svijetu oko nas. Koncept sebstva iz "ogledala " navodi da se osoba razvija putem socijalne interakcije s drugima.
Abstract (english)
Carroll published his novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland in 1865 and it was followed by Through the Looking Glass in 1872. Alice's story began as a piece meant to entertain three little girls on a boating trip in 1862. Both of these books were considered children's novels that were satirical in nature and they show Carroll's wit. Of all Lewis Carroll's works, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, has a unique standing in the category of nonsense literature. Alice is quite different from all other Victorian children's literature. Yet, as odd as this story appears in relation to the other Victorian children's stories, this short novel is odder still because it was written by an ultra-conservative man, in short, a Victorian gentleman. Alice was called a children's feast and a triumph of nonsense. About 180,000 copies of Alice in various editions were sold in England during Carroll's lifetime. Since then the book has been translated into every major language, and now it has become a bestseller, ranking with the works of Shakespeare and the Bible in popular demand. Of all Victorian children's stories that are enjoyed equally by children and adults, none is more popular than Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass. Wonderland is a dream, but the Looking-Glass is self-conscious. It is a dream that shows us something real. Our imagination is a gift, something that can teach us and add to our joy. Wonderland helps us to practice wonderment, to see the seemingly impossible beauty in the world around us. Concept of the looking glass self, states that a person's self grows out of a person's social interactions with others.
