Abstract
Vrlo mali broj radova bavio se tematikom važnosti socijalne potpore u odabiranju budućnosti kod mladih, stoga je glavni cilj ovoga istraživanja bio ispitati važnost socijalne potpore učenika za njihov pristup odlučivanju o tome kojim putom žele krenuti nakon svog srednjoškolskog obrazovanja, odnosno žele li upisati fakultet ili se zaposliti. U istraživanju su sudjelovala 294 učenika četvrtih razreda iz četiriju srednjih škola na području grada Splita koji su na satu razredne zajednice popunjavali sljedeće instrumente: Skala za procjenu stupnja socijalne podrške, Upitnik nastavničkog podržavanja autonomije, Skala očekivanja o karijeri te Skala brige o budućoj karijeri. Dobiveni rezultati pokazali su da je učenicima izuzetno važna potpora bliskih osoba i nastavnika u donošenju odluke o tome što žele nakon srednje škole. Najviše im savjetima ipak pomažu njihova obitelj i prijatelji koji su im najvažnija potpora kroz njihov život.
Abstract (english)
There are very few papers concerning the topic of the importance of social support among youth choosing their future career. Therefore, the main goal of this research is to analyze the imortance of social support which influences students' decision-making process as to what their next step is after graduating from high school, i.e. whether or not they want to attend college or find a job. The research included 294 seniors from four high schools located in the city of Split. During homeroom they filled out the following documents - Scale for Measuring Social Suppport, Teachers' Support of Students' Autonomy Scale, Career Expectations Scale and Worry About the Future Career Scale. The results obtained showed that students greatly value the support of those closest to them as well as teachers when making desicions about what they want to do after high school. However, they primarily tend to listen to the advice of their family and friends, that is, the people who represent the most valuable support all through their life.
