Abstract
Turizam je globalni fenomen koji ima značajnu ulogu u brojnim gospodarstvima svijeta, pa tako i u Hrvatskoj. Veliki broj turističkih kretanja odvija se na hrvatskim otocima upravo zbog njihove jedinstvenosti i ljepote. Otok Korčula je otok koji ima veliki neiskorišteni potencijal. Njegova prirodna obilježja čine ga savršenom lokacijom za turiste željne odmora na moru i suncu, no isto tako posjeduje i brojne predispozicije za razvoj selektivnih oblika turizma koji bi potencijalno mogli smanjiti izraženu sezonalnost. Cilj ovoga rada je analizirati komponente turističke ponude otoka Korčule s naglaskom na najznačajnije turističke atrakcije, ponudu ugostiteljskih usluga, prometnu dostupnost otoka, turističko posredništvo te organizaciju turizma, dok se razvoj trgovine na otoku ne obrađuje zbog nedostupnih podataka na razini otoka.
Abstract (english)
Tourism is a global phenomenon that has a significant role in many economics, including croatian. A large number of tourist movements take place on the croatian islands because of their uniqueness and beauty. The island of Korčula is an island with huge untapped potential. The islands natural features makes it the perfect location for tourists looking for relaxation in the sun and sea, but it also has numerous predispositions for the development of selective forms of tourism which could potentially reduce extremly featured sesonality. The main purpose of this paper is to analyse the components of tourism supply of the island Korčula, with an emphasis on the most important tourist attractions, supply of catering services, traffic accessibility, tourism agencies and tourism organisation, while the trade of the island isn't processed because of the unavailable data of the island.
