Abstract
Ovaj rad prikazuje korištenje OpenGL (Graphics Library) tehnologije i Bullet Physics pogonskog alata (eng. game engine). Kao primjer mogućnosti tih tehnologija napravljena je 3D simulacija u kojoj se lik može slobodno kretati. Aplikacija koristi tehnologije koje nisu vezane uz neku određenu platformu, pa ne ovisi o operativnom sustavu, štoviše aplikacija koristi i CMake softver tako da nije ovisna ni o IDE-u (Integrated Development Environment). Pogonski alat simulira gravitaciju i interakcije s drugim objektima tako da prolaženje kroz druge objekte nije moguće. U aplikaciji se razlikuju dva odvojena svijeta : fizički i grafički. Grafika se brine o tome da prikaže različite objekte, boje, teksture, svjetlost i druge vizualne efekte, dok fizika sadrži pojednostavljene oblike (radi lakšeg i bržeg obavljanja izračuna) i brine se o njihovoj međusobnoj interakciji. OpenGL vrši osnovne funkcije crtanja lika, dok se za bojanje i sjenčanje koristi GLSL (Graphics Library Shading Language). GL omogućuje prikaz svega na ekranu što uključuje crtanje scene u odnosu na trenutnu poziciju. Rotacije, transformacije i skaliranja vrši zasebno fizika, a zasebno grafika. Cijela aplikacija se nalazi u 3D prostoru koji prikazuje GL, no neki elementi su i 2D. Aplikacija nudi i mogućnost gledanja na svijet iz perspektive pogonskog alata, što je korisno za debugiranje.
Abstract (english)
This paper presents the usage of OpenGL technology and Bullet Physics game engine. As an example of capabilities of such technologies a 3D simulation is made in which a character can move freely. Application uses technologies that are not tied to any specificplatform giving it platform independence, moreover application also uses CMake software which enables it to be developed in any IDE. Game engine simulates gravitation and interactions with other objects ensuring that there are no clipping issues. The application differentiates two separate worlds :physics and graphics. Graphics takes care of displaying various objects, colours, textures, lightning and other visual effects, while physics contains simplified shapes (for easier and faster computations) and takes care of how they interact with each other. OpenGL executes primary functions of drawing, while for colouring and shading GLSL is used. GL enables the display of everything that is on screen which includes drawing of the scene in relation to the current position. Rotations, transformations and scaling for physics and for graphics are done separately. Entire application is situated in a 3D space that is generated by GL, however there are some 2D elements as well. Application also offers seeing world from the perspective of the game engine, which is useful for debugging.
