Abstract
Osiguranje od odgovornosti najmlađa je vrsta osiguranja, nastala u 19. stoljeću, s počecima industrijalizacije, kao odgovor na potrebe zaštite poduzetnika od odgovornosti za štete uzrokovane trećim osobama. Osiguranje od profesionalne odgovornosti zbog svojih specifičnosti postaje treća klasa osiguranja. Kako u svijetu, tako i u Republici Hrvatskoj, najčešće se osiguravaju rizici kod onih djelatnosti kod kojih postoji zakonska obveza sklapanja ugovora o osiguranju. Osiguranje od profesionalne odgovornosti najzastupljenije je kod odvjetničke djelatnosti, ali u novije vrijeme razvijaju se ponude i u drugim djelatnostima čime ova vrsta osiguranja bilježi svoj rast.
Abstract (english)
Liability insurance is the youngest type of insurance, created in the 19th century, with the beginnings of industrialization, in response to the need to protect entrepreneurs from liability for damage caused to third parties. Due to its specific features, professional liability insurance becomes the third class of insurance. As in the world and in the Republic of Croatia, it is safe to insure risks in those activities where there is a legal obligation to conclude an insurance contract. Professional liability insurance is most prevalent in the legal profession, but in recent times offering have been developing in other industries as well whereby this type of insurance is registering its growth.
