Abstract
Potrebe reguliranih procesa industrije kroz povijest ostvarivale su se najviše primjenom istosmjernih motora. Niti jedna vrsta električnih motora nije bila upravljiva poput istosmjernih motora sve do razvoja frekvencijskih pretvarača. Obzirom na konstrukciju i način rada asinkronog motora, upravljanje brzinom vrtnje može se vršiti na više načina. Svi načini upravljanja imaju neke nedostatke u smislu povećanja gubitaka u odnosu na dobivenu željenu brzinu vrtnje. Korištenjem frekvencijskih pretvarača ostvaruje se prilagodba rada stroja prema trenutačnim zahtjevima pogona. U današnje vrijeme asinkroni motori su zbog svoje jednostavne konstrukcije i mogućnosti upravljanja frekvencijskim pretvaračem postali najisplativiji odabir za pogone raznih strojeva u industriji.
Abstract (english)
The demands of regulated industry process throughout history have been met mostly by the use of DC motors. Only DC motors was able to fulfil industry demands until the development of variable speed drives. Due to the construction and way of working, the induction motor, the speed control can be performed in several ways. All methods of speed control have some disadvantages in terms of increasing losses in relation to the obtained desired speed. By using variable speed drives, the machine run is adjusted to the current requirements of the industry process. Nowadays, because of variable speed drive abilities and simple construction of asynchronous motors they have become the most cost-effective choice for the industry process.
