Abstract
The goal of this reesearch is to evaluate simulation results produced by Regional Climate Models (RCMs) for the Adriatic region by comparing them with the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service (DHMZ) measurement. The considered variable is the air temperature at 2m height (T2m). Research is conducted over two periods: historical and ERA-Interim/evaluation .There are 5 RCMs included in the analysis: CCLM4, RACMO22E, RCA4, REMO2009 and WRF331F. Statistical methods used for the analysis are Mann- Kendall test, Taylor diagram, Linear regression and Bias calculation. Each of these statistics is conducted using MATLAB® environment. Results appear to be somewhat inconclusive. Not a single model stands out as the most accurate. All models show an increasing warming trend which agrees with DHMZ measurements. The accuracy of a particular model largely varies depending on station and period.

Cilj ovog istraživanja je procijeniti rezultate simulacija regionalnih klimatskih modela (RCM) za jadransko područje uspoređujući ih s mjerenjima Državnog hidrometeorološkog zavoda (DHMZ). Razmatrana varijabla je temperatura zraka na 2m visine (T2m). Istraživanje se provodi kroz dva razdoblja: povijesno i ERAInterim/evaluacijsko. U analizu je uključeno pet regionalnih klimatskih modela: CCLM4, RACMO22E, RCA4, REMO2009 i WRF331F. Statističke metode koje se koriste za analizu su Mann-Kendallov test, Taylorov dijagram, linearna regresija i izračun pristranosti. Svaka od tih statistika provodi se pomoću MATLAB® programskog jezika. Rezultati su poprilično nedokučivi. Niti jedan model se ne ističe kao najtočniji. Svi modeli pokazuju rastući trend zagrijavanja koji se slaže s DHMZovim mjerenjima. Točnost određenog modela uvelike varira ovisno o postaji i vremenu.
