Abstract
Osnova nastanka magnetizma leži u atomu, te se u objašnjenje polazi od Bohrova modela atoma. Svaki elektron u atomu ima magnetski moment koji ima porijeklo iz dva izvora. Prvi je povezan sa orbitalnim momentom oko jezgre, a drugi magnetski moment potječe od spina elektrona. Magnetsko ponašanje materijala je određeno rasporedom elektrona unutar atoma i međusobnim položajem atoma, tj. njihovim međusobnim utjecajima. Makroskopska veličina koja opisuje stupanj magnetizacije materijala je vektor magnetizacije, npr. ukoliko su u atomima potpuno popunjene ljuske, magnetski momenti su međusobno poništeni i takvi atomi prema van ne iskazuju magnetski moment, te im je vektor magnetizacije jednak nula. Postoje još i atomi s nepotpuno popunjenim ljuskama, te atomi kod kojih dolazi do nepravilnog popunjavanja ljuski. Na osnovu toga materijale u pogledu magnetskih svojstava dijelimo u 5 osnovnih skupina: dijamagnetski, paramagnetski, feromagnetski, antiferomagnetski i ferimagnetski.
Abstract (english)
The origin of magnetism lies in the atom, and explanation of Bohr model of the atom. Each electron in an atom has magnetic moments that originate from two sources. The first one is related to its orbital motion around nucleus, and the other magnetic moment originates from the electron spin. Magnetic behavior of the materials is determined by the array of electrons within the atom and mutual position of atoms, i.e. their mutual influence. Macroscopic size which describes the degree of magnetization of the materials is called magnetizacion vector, e.g. if the atom shells are completely filled,magnetic moments cancel each other, and such atoms do not express the magnetic moment, and their magnetization vector is zero. There are also atoms with incompletely filled shells, and the atoms that cause irregular filling of shells. Based on that, the materials are divided into 5 basic groups: diamagnetic, paramagnetic, ferromagnetic, antiferromagnetic and ferrimagnetic.
